Catherine Pomposi is a postdoctoral research fellow under the University Corporation for Atmospheric Research's Postdocs Applying Climate Expertise (PACE) program. Her PhD work focused on understanding the mechanisms of West African Monsoon variability on seasonal to decadal timescales. Current work includes expanding her research focus to study similar diagnostics in East Africa and South Africa. She is broadly interested in regional climate variability, predictability, and change; climate services and food security; and science education and outreach.
